The School of Fisheries and Life Sciences was established based on the merger and upgrading of the following units: Institute of Fisheries Science and Technology, Institute of Aquaculture, Institute of Biotechnology and Environment, and Faculty of Food Technology. The School of Fisheries and Life Sciences is a training unit of Nha Trang University and does not have legal personality;

- Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environment (newly established based on the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Environmental Engineering Technology);

- Ninh Phung Freshwater Aquaculture Experimental Farm;

- Cam Ranh Saltwater Aquaculture Experimental Farm.

Functions and Responsibilities

The functions and responsibilities of the School of Fisheries and Life Sciences are carried out in accordance with the regulations of Nha Trang University and relevant laws.

The Rector of Nha Trang University is tasked with implementing the personnel transfer process, appointing management staff, and preparing the necessary conditions for the School of Fisheries and Life Sciences to commence operations from February 1, 2026.
